I went on the Buggy Beach Break and if you like to ride ATV's this was a blast. We got to ride on trails and throw up dust. After we were done with the trails we went to the beach and enjoyed an open bar.

The driver of the taxi van we hired at the vessel pier spoke no English. We did not get to see the many things we wanted to see in Merida. On future visits, I would go to the beach in Progreso.

We saw Chichen Itza and loved that-Had a rough experience with the tour company at first, but it worked out and we loved it!

Go see Chichen Itza! Yucatan is still in the Gulf so the waters are still brown. Ditch the "relaxing" stuff on this port and go see some ancient Mayan Ruins! It was AMAZING!

I had fun in Progreso. I took the free shuttle into the little town, shopped at the market and specialty shops, and walked along the beach boardwalk. I didn't take the double-deck bus tour, but that was available. Restaurants and refreshment venues were lined along the beach.
