So So Cruise

Sail Date: October 30, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship needs some updating. The rooms had the really used look. Chips in the bathroom sink. The toilet seat was dirty looking but wasn't. just scratched. Elevators had problems working everyday not just the first day. Food was not that great anywhere. We always love the dining room at night, but it was just average. The breakfast on the lido deck was horrible and the hamburger buns were hard as a rock everyday! We had smoothe sailing and that was about all we liked about the whole cruise!

Pros: I like where our room was located on the lido deck.

Cons: I didn't think the staff was all that helpful overall. There were very few.

Recommends Carnival Triumph? No.

Food and Dining
We tried all avenues of the food areas and didn't think any were that great!
Cabin / Stateroom
Very used-marks on walls, and the Couch was broke. No refrigerator for a balcony room. Just ok. Liked where it was located on the ship.
Service and Staff
Some were rude and not helpful or didn't know the answers. Our steward was awesome. That was about it!
Entertainment
Not sure why some of the bands were allowed to sing. First day getting on we went to the Lido deck and couldn't sit out there because of the two person band. Couldn't carry a tune in a bucket.
Ship Quality
Needs some TLC.
Progreso (Merida), Mexico
We saw Chichen Itza and loved that-Had a rough experience with the tour company at first, but it worked out and we loved it!
Don't Miss: Chichen Itza
Cozumel, Mexico
We have been here about 5 or 6 times and just like walking around.
Don't Miss: Going back to the market about 4-6 blocks back from the main street-You can deal there.
