We didn't get off the boat at this port. We talked to several passengers that said they didn't like it. If you stay on the boat when everyone else gets off you have the whole ship to yourself. It was really nice. We laid out and had our pick of spots and no waiting lines to eat at the buffet. Just a suggestion.

Water is not that pretty. Nice port but fishy smell was unpleasant. Encourage you to do your casual shopping here instead of Cozumel. Prices are slightly lower, perhaps only jewelery could be a better buy in Cozumel. Don't recommend the kayak adventure in Progreso.

We went to the Reef Resort. This was a nice excursion. Alejandro was our guide and he did an awesome job of giving us a history/guided tour of the area and region prior to arriving at the resort.

- We took Chichen-Itza tour in Progresso. The place was not up to my expectation. May be I had big expectation as it was one of the 7 wonder of the world.

The shopping was sketchy, the town was dirty and a bit scary. We quickly went back to the ship.
