Great place for souvenir shopping. Best to book an excursion and not go out and wander about by yourselves. This is a working port where the ship docks and you’ll take a tram to the shopping area.

Did the Copala Colonial Tour via Air conditioned tour bus. Great tour guide, Martin & driver, Thomas- took us to see downtown & out of town spots: homemade baked breads, in a Baker’s home; hot plate tile maker, at his home; 16th century churches; mango tequila distributor; wooden furniture maker; small town home restaurant for authentic fajitas- saw rural living in the tropical jungles of Mazatlan. An awesome tour!
