Somewhat of a dirty city in the downtown area, but the shopping was ok.

Definitely get an open aired cabby to take you site seeing. Everyone goes to the main downtown area, but there are incredible other places to visit with a tour guide. Also, make sure you get a driver that can understand English.

We visited a tequila factory outside of Mazatlan,had free samples,by the way one of the best tequilas we've had called Los Osuna.We enjoyed Mazatlan's laid back atmosphere.

A town for tourist - not very easy to get around without a taxi - both excursions we took were of poor quality. My wife's bus broke down - I got ripped off on a fishing charter.

the pulminya drivers were hilarious- they have no sense of right of way while driving- I wasn't sure we were going to make it to the beach in one piece.

We have been here before & didn't like it much so we went to El Cid for $65 (all inclusive resort) sat by pool with great water slide, had lunch and drinks.

We took the Old Mazatlan walking tour, it was worth the price. Was a much better tour and area than Puerto Vallarta.
