We toured the city...We hired a van tour inside the port building. Oscar was a fantastic guide and we really enjoyed the tour, the lunch, and the scenery.

Easy walk to town open air market. Locals were shopping there and they had a great selection of fresh meals, fresh meats, spices, and trinkets. Rained, but it was warm. Some folks complained but the rain, but it was December, rain is expected, so get on with the day.

Actually was worried about this port but was our best experience. Found an all inclusive hotel to go to for $35 a person and drank and ate all day...as if the ship doesn’t have enough food.

We took a cab to the old part of the city. Walk thru the beautiful church. There American volunteers who have moved there that wear blue shirts. They are there to help you navigate where are good places to see. They were very helpful.

We took the hop on and hop off bus excursion, we took a tour of the City and then had a wonderful time at the beach. Chairs with umbrella and table provided. There have been reviews about the people who are trying to sale you things, now there were plenty of vendors. Just said no thanks and they left, but my wife had a foot massage and she said it was great.

Vendors are such a constant nuisance at this port. You cannot enjoy the beach area for the constant harassing of the vendors. Even if you have your eyes closed laying on a beach chair they will tap your feet and continue to hound you to buy something. They will actually get rude with you when you tell them no. We even took an Excursion once that was supposed to be an inclusive resort, the vendors were still waiting there on the beach. I'd rather stay in the ship and Skip Mazatlan.

Took a golf cart type taxi into the town to shop. We met a nice lady at the church who was from Oregon but is now living in Mazatlan and shares places to go and history of the city. When we got off the ship there were some people sitting at a table and handed us a brochure and told us to follow the blue line for about 20 min and it would take us through the city but once we started walking I felt a little unsafe so we hopped on the golf cart taxi and took that to town. nice souvenirs in the ten for reasonable prices. Enjoyed this port.
