We've spent many weeks over the years in Mazatlan and are familiar with the city. We opted for the Shrimp Fest excursion. I would rate that excursion a 4 out of 5. It featured a buffet style lunch featuring several types of shrimp. It lasted maybe an hour longer than necessary, but the venue has a beautiful view overlooking the city and that gorgeous cathedral.

We really enjoyed Mazatlan. We did not book an excursion and just followed the blue line. We walked about 8 miles around the town. We went to the market thinking it was an outdoor market but it was in a warehouse style building with agressive vendors so we quickly left. You can find a walking tour on line that gives history of buildings. Don't miss Nidart. It is on the corner by the theater. The address is Calle Libertad Centro Historico 45.

This is where we did all of our shopping for gifts! The prices were the best here and we got a lot of great deals! We ate at Ernie Tomato's restaurant in the shopping area and it was VERY good!

Time in all ports was hot and humid so we were happy to board the ship.

This was a charming place! Great shopping. The Mexico show was very colorful, but the quality of the performance was average or below average.

Skip the hotel/shopping excursion. Bad food, lousy show, could have done it for free...but did find a place down the street 1 1/2 hour massage for 25.00, not very good, but well worth the price..The girls had pedicures and said they were great.

We hired a private van with our very own driver for the time at port. This was awesome. He gave a great tour and took us to about 3 excursions worth of sites. Would do it again!

Do away with the time share, just say no, part it's a waste of time when you don't have it. Have low cost cabs for people who just want to see the town like PV.
