Review summary

We are so happy to be back with Princess after 2 horrible experiences with Celebrity (they definately do NOT treat you famously). Princess simply executes better. The ship was spotless, the crew worked well together and the service was excellent. Princess is absolutely correct when they advertise big ship features yet small ship feel. We did not even see one of the pools until the last day of the cruise. The decor is tasteful and the layout is perfect. Our cabin was also great and space was good (remembering that space is at a premium on any ship). The balcony design is the best we have seen on any competitive line. Great privacy screening on both sides and very clean.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was comparable to other ships. Maybe we are placing a "good" because we are still full

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The shows were ok. To be fair, it is very difficult to design shows or perform to such diverse audiences. How a comedian plays to an audience of 8-80 year olds is beyond me. Definately good entertainment and there are many options to choose from.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Super staff. All very friendly and our cabin steward was not only expert in service but we also enjoyed conversations very much. Princess gets the little details right. We were married on this cruise and on the day of our private beach ceremony in Puerto Vallarta, he brought balloons and a cabin sign which made us feel very special on our return to the ship

Ports of call

Mazatlan, Mexico

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the 4 hour walking tour excursion
Don't Miss: Cliff divers

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

3 out of 5
They definately need to add more time in this port if they continue to go there. With a tender port it is definately a situation where a full day is warranted. Cabo itself is not that nice for a day. It is very California like and overdeveloped. Good for a beach day or SCUBA but not much else.
Don't Miss: SCUBA

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Probably baised since we had our marriage ceremony on a private beach while in port. Fun town. Great shopping and dining along the waterfront. They do need to add more capacity to the zip line tours.

Pros: Operational Excellence-they do things right

Cons: Port time in Cabo needs to be longer
