So I gave this port city 5 stars. But with that I'll mention our ship was only there for 4 hours and we didn't get to see much of the city itself. What we did see was surprisingly clean since I'd heard nothing good about the place before arriving there. The people were friendly and the little bit of shopping we got to do prior to the start of our tour was great. Found some great deals on olive oil, vanilla, and some silver jewelry. Then we boarded buses for the Guadalupe winery tour. The driver and narrator were funny, informative, knowledgeable, and engaging. Once at the winery we were shown every step of the process and were given 4 different wines to taste along with olives, cheese, and bread. At the end of the tour everyone received a bottle of a cabernet malbec. I highly recommend the tour. Great wine and friendly people. Well worth the money spent on this.

Had about a 15 minute walk to the actual city and shopping. Some things were closed due to we were there on election day. Ensenada was a fairly clean city. Was not afraid to wonder around and shop. Also we did a Wine tasting tour (Wine Country Tour) which took us to 2 different winery's. Very interesting. When we were done with the tour we were presented a bottle of wine each.

I didn't enjoy Ensenada. It seems dirty and run down. We got off the ship and walked into the nearest streets with shops. we ate a taco and got back on the ship. Not much to do unless you book an excursion.
