Excellent cruise for the money

Sail Date: August 22, 2016

Reviewed: 1 month ago

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Oceanview

Every bit of it is enjoyable. Very friendly staff, Lot's of food, good shows and comedy..

The ship and rooms need some remodeling though but it's not too bad. Catalina is awesome, Ensenada is a bit old country.

Thinks to do in Catalina:

Rent a golf cart in Catalina for $40/ hr

Snorkeling is a lot of fun

Parasailing is a waste of money and time. Only 8 minutes in the air!

In Ensenada: Take the big tour from downtown for $15/ person. Rent ATV on your own from downtown. Horseback riding is not all that except for kids maybe.

In all, it's a good first cruise experience.

Cabin / Stateroom
Sheets and bed very clean. housekeeping did an excellent job. A bit too small for 4 people
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Ship Quality
White towels are not so white. Rooms need remodeling. Ship hallways in need of new carpets
Destinations and Excursions
Catalina was awesome. Ensenada was not. Most Excursions are very expensive comparing to local activities if bought on your own.
Onboard Activities
I wish there was a movie theater
Service and Staff
Amazing staff. very polite and friendly
Food and Dining
5 starts food. though not much sea food!
Los Angeles (Long Beach)
I wouldn't go back to Ensenada
