I had heard you can only be on the "shopping jetty" but you can walk into town and find some great deals on a meal off ship! Some local flavor was great! We had 4 beers and nachos with the best guac EVER for $10!!! They take tourist security very seriously--felt very safe!

We just walked the port but had fun. If you want real Mexican food that is not a tourist trap go to Taqueria EL Paisa. It is a couple of blocks off the marina

Beautiful, stunning, beach front area. We did a tour which was interesting. But we could have just easily gotten off the ship and wandered around and lay on the beach.

Cabo is a very pretty area but the water was really choppy the day we were there. We rented glass bottom kayaks and still had a good time despite the wind.

We expected that Cabo would be uninterestingly commercialized. Instead we went on an outstanding "Deluxe"sailing/snorkeling excursion that was the high point of the entire cruise. As if on cue, whales spouted and sounded, showing their flukes, and we enjoyed other wildlife including sea lions, many birds, and of course beautiful fish that swam around us as we snorkeled. We saw beautiful scenery including Los Arcos, the bay, a beach across the bay, and our own ship. The sailing part of the excursion was absolutely beautiful and classic. The crew consisted of two pretty, efficient, and knowldgable women and an intrepid captain (at one point he dove deep to retrieve a passenger's necklace!)

Beautiful vibrant town. Amazing beaches to just relax on, make sure you bring ample amounts of sun screen! & a camera for photo ops! Probably my favorite stop while on the Mexican Rivera cruise.

We did the Mexican Outback and Camels which was so much fun and overall great experience! The riding, the culture and taking pictures with the Camels was such an awesome time! The lunch served was delicious and the tequila tasting and history was great!! Just be prepared to take an hour bus ride to and from the site. Also they do not allow cell phones or cameras (they explain the reasons for the safety of the Camels) and during the ride you will have to put purses, bags in a shared trunk (not sure if it was secured but I was not concern).
