A: For the most part, everything is centrally located within walking distance from the port. You can also take a water taxi to get from one side to the other. Lots of additional restaurants and shops on the side streets off the main port.

Q: for those of us traveling by Cruise is the SUNSET Cruise in Cabo doable or there isn't enough time.

A: it looks like you are in Cabo overnight so you should be able to do a sunset cruise on the 1st evening.
Answered by loralor on October 17, 2024
A: The Sunset will be at 5:34 PM on December 3, 2024. Good luck!
Answered by loralor on October 17, 2024
A: It would depend on what time of year you will be there and what time your ship leaves the bay. If sunset is at 4:45pm and the ship leaves at 8pm I'd say yes you can do it.

Q: About how long is the tender ride from the ship’s anchor point to the shore? We’ve been on tenders that were a 5 minute ride and others that were almost 30 mins. First time to Cabo and saw a lot of reviews complaining about the tender causing them to lose so much time. Just wondering how long of a ride it is. We’re on the NCL Bliss.

A: The tender ride itself is short. The time waiting for the tender is what is long. Getting off the ship you wait for enough people to be on it to go in. Coming back to the ship is even longer because you are all coming back at the same time.
Answered by Decall2002 on August 15, 2024
A: I’ve taken the tender in at Cabo over a dozen times. It’s fun and takes 10 to 15 minutes. Enjoy the ride!
Answered by billcravey on August 13, 2024
A: We've been there 3 times (all NCL) and I would guess around 10 minutes, 15 max. It's never been an issue for us.

Q: Anyone SCUBA dive here during their stop? I haven’t seen anyone mention it in the last 4 years. Wondering if 6:30-2:30 is enough time with the tender situation and what company can accommodate a ship dive.

Answer QuestionA: As long as you’re back by the call time, you should be good. I suggest asking the tour guides how long it will take. Take in consideration the commute from the ship/dock to the location of the tour. Come back at least 30 mins before call time as ship... s DO NOT WAIT for late passengers. If you miss the call time you will need to fly to the next port of call. Thus I also just suggest scheduling tours with the cruise. It’s more expensive but it’s more safer and reliable.See More

A: W/ 2 days in port & your port times. YES. You may want to consider thru the CL to ensure priority tender. Otherwise, give yourself an extra hour from the port arrival times to account for additional wait times. They will run 2 tenders, 1 for Car... nival excursions and the other for 3rd party/on your own. FFTF, Platinum, and suites will get priority on those.See More

A: Most importantly, make sure it is a tour from the cruise line. Reason being, if there are any problems that make you late, they will wait for you.
Answered by PerkyGranna on November 19, 2023
A: Cabo is a tender port. Make sure you know when the last tender leaves.

A: lot's of shopping to do. you should be able to get a good deal on a glass bottom boat ride, way cheaper than the cruiselines. And remember! most everything is negotiable there.

Q: Is there a schedule for getting off and back on to the ship on port days at Cabo? If I just want to walk around the Marina for a few hours, can I come back on the ship anytime or do I have to wait at a certain time? TY!

A: You can get back on anytime. This is a Tender port, so you will get in line for the shuttle when you are ready to go back. Tenders run back and forth all day! Have fun!

A: we will be going to Cabo for the first time in January. we chose a camel riding excursion. It also includes a short nature walk, tortilla making, lunch, and tequila tasting. It was highly rated.

A: It's easy to take a taxi to Chileno Beach, and have a very fun day. You could also just walk about the town and check out the area if you want to. Cabo Wabo is a short talk from the port, if you are looking to visit Sammy Hagar's famous bar. You coul... d take a water taxi Lover's Beach, which is by the rock formation. Or you could also take a water taxi to the resort beach area and hang out there. There are lots of things to doSee More

A: I think it is common courtesy to use the currency of the country you are in. Would you accept Mexican Pesos as payment for any goods or services in your country?
Answered by Richard1Canuck on September 9, 2022
A: They love USD because they’ll generally give you a lousy exchange rate. If you have one, pay with a credit card (Visa or MasterCard preferably - AMEX and Discover aren’t as widely accepted) with no foreign transactions fees and tell them to charge y... ou in pesos to beat that game.See More

A: I have lived on the northern boarder of Mexico all my life, even the cash registers in most businesses in tourists towns show transactions in both currencies in order to keep the tourists happy knowing they are getting legal trade & they use U.S. cur... rency. But I have never been further south than El Golfo Mexico yet.See More
Answered by AZRichard3 on September 15, 2022
A: I cannot disagree with the comment "common courtesy". But the tourist port areas generally exist because of the cruise ships and are seeking hundreds of thousands of American dollars and not tens of thousands of tourists spending pesos as they might... in other areas. if you don't know Spanish, and if you don't know how to count out numbers in Spanish, it will drive you freaking crazy to use pesos.See More
Answered by jallaway on September 11, 2022
A: Also if places offer change in pesos then refuse to accept the peso most places will give you change in dollars…if you are going to a chain store or an upscale shop and if your card does not charge you an exchange rate…it is better to use your card…t... he card will offer the current exchange rateSee More
