Way better than expected but limited choices. This was substituted for the originally scheduled stop in Costa Rica … corporate decision that even the staff could not explain. Still, the cliff diving and fort were worth the tour visit … especially with the package deal.

Acapulco was removed from the itinerary and replaced with Manzanillo. Having chosen this ship for its itinerary, my father (aged 70) and I were greatly disappointed that Acapulco had been replaced by Mazanillo due apparently to engine problems. We were not impressed having travelled from Ireland to be notified of this change at Embarkation and offered 50 US dollars each reimbursement. However, having spoken to a number of guests who had undertaken the same cruise last year, it came to light that this same incident occurred and, yes again, they did not see Acapulco!!

Port ok. No excursions entire trip. Have done lots in past. Tired of seeing churches and "amazing" rock formations. Mexico is not of great interest to me.

It was the dirtiest, congested city. I went on the 3 hour shopping tour. I must protest and complain about the second shop we were taken to. The one were we had to walk downstairs. The sales associates were sharks who harassed the customers to no end. I had to raise my voice on two of them to back of. It was a most unpleasant experience. One of the passengers felt so harassed and intimidated that she bought something to get the salesman to leave her alone. She was my seat mate and told me this on the bus later. There is no excuse for such a rude way of doing business, especially retailers recommended by Princess Cruise company. I strongly suggest that they look into this. When I asked the tour guide how to say it a polite way to be left alone, his answer was that is how business is conducted in Mexico and that they are a friendly people. His name was Cesar. I was furious, needles to say.

Acapulco has a lot of history. We just rent a taxi with an other couple for the day and went where we wanted for $25/ person, much cheaper than tours from NCL
