Acapulco was removed from the itinerary and replaced with Manzanillo. Having chosen this ship for its itinerary, my father (aged 70) and I were greatly disappointed that Acapulco had been replaced by Mazanillo due apparently to engine problems. We were not impressed having travelled from Ireland to be notified of this change at Embarkation and offered 50 US dollars each reimbursement. However, having spoken to a number of guests who had undertaken the same cruise last year, it came to light that this same incident occurred and, yes again, they did not see Acapulco!!

Having visited Puerto Vallarta on a few occassions, we opted for the all inclusive package. Paid 75 us dollars for an overcrowded three star resort with no available sunloungers or chairs.

Pros: Prompt Stateroom Attendance

Cons: Change of itinerary notified at Embarkation; Poor Entertainment; Lack of Nightly Variety of Menu in the Two Main Restaurants.

Recommends Norwegian Star? No.
