The snorkeling in Hanauma Bay was great, and Pearl Harbor was fine. But the rest of the city is just like every other city in the US.

Plenty of buses just off the ship which take you round the island for a fixed price, I should have planned it better so didn’t get to see as much as I would have liked

Plan to rent a car and drive over to North Shore. Worth the trip. Dole Pineapple Plantation is on that side of the island and that was great. Honolulu has a lot of traffic and is not as pretty as North Shore.

Honolulu was great. Very touristy, but lots to see, including the international market place. Lots of opportunities to shop, if you're into that. We also went to the aquarium, which was pretty decent. Not as good as the Monterey Bay Aquarium, but not bad.

It rained so we bought umbrellas. When we got back on the ship, they had umbrella to borrow. They should have them ready to use before we got off the ship.

Didn’t do an excursion on this port didn’t have the money for it and didn’t trust the Covid so we just took a private taxi over to the military hotel and shopped around there we are U.S. Navy veterans and it was something that we thought was extremely safe for us to do. Plus all the prices in the shopping area there are about 50% off what they are on the outside. So we saved quite a bit. And they have their own private beach totally safe and beautiful grounds to walk around and enjoy the gardens.

Nice port, AZ Memorial (missed the boat half due to State of Hawaii, cancelling our visit). You need a least an overnight or two days. I was last there 30 years ago.
