Aloha. This island was my first exposure to Hawaii. It is my favorite. Yes it’s urban lots of buildings, very populated, expensive shops and tons of hotels. It also has Pearl Harbor, great beaches, lush plants and waterfalls 🌊

This was such a great cruise and after 4 days at sea I was ready for this great Island! The waterfalls were beautiful and the excursion host did an incredible job explaining the Hawaiian culture and customs!

Have had the pleasure of cruising here before it's a lovely place plenty to do and see however this time we took a quick taxi ride from the port to Waikiki beach had a walk along the beach area had drinks and Lunch then took a taxi to Walmart to stock up on Goodies for our 24 night cruise to Singapore and souvenirs for the grandkids then headed back to the ship ...we really enjoyed our day in Honolulu ...

Don't miss Pearl Harbor. Town is super crowded with lots of shopping but nothing that isn't on the mainland. Do the Diamondhead stairs their worth the view

We did the Pearl Harbor excursion WWII from start to finish which was recommended by cruise 411 because the ship excursions were already booked. One of the best excursions we ever went on the tour guide we had was knowledgeable, informative and personable answered all our questions and made the day one I will never forget both for Pearl Harbor and the sites in Honolulu.

We spent a week in Honolulu before our cruise and have been there every year for 20 years. We always enjoy it even if going for a walk is the only thing we do. It's good to stay there a couple of days before your cruise because if you've come from anywhere else, a couple of days will help you recover from the Jet Lag that is unavoidable. Doing nothing in Honolulu is still a very enjoyable experience.....now, when you do something, it's even better. If you go to the beach, be careful with the tropical sun. It can burn you very quickly. Try to avoid going swimming in the very middle of the day.

We did the Missouri and Arizona tour. It was something everyone needs to see once in there lifetime. the Missouri has many steps and ladders so wear sneakers. For dinner we went to Germaines Luau it was excellent from the lifting of the pig out of the pit to the entertainment recommend this for all going to Hawaii.

Honolulu was wonderful! We spent four days in Honolulu. Our first day, after we got off the plane we used the hotel amenities like the pool which was average but the water was a little murky, then we went to Lulus restaurant which was really good. Their aloha burger was great. The next day we went to the Polynesian cultural center was ok. My big advice is DON'T GET A TOUR GUIDE!!! Our tour guide was nice but he only took us to shows not to learn about the other islands exhibits. Before the luau which we got to see since we had the ambassador package, we got to do some activities we wanted like canoeing and weaving. My favorite part of the day was when we didn't have the tour guide. The luau was great. The roasted a big in banana leaves and had delicious poke and poi rolls. They even let volunteers (like me) do Tahitian dancing. The ha breath of life show was spectacular it took you through an immersive story of a Hawaiian tribe. The next day we took a private tour through private tours Hawaii our tour guide Greg was great, he was informative and showed us all, the sights. We saw the halona blowhole, byodo in temple, dole pineapple plantation and more. He took us to the food truck for shrimp which were delicious. Then we went to Pearl Harbor the next day. It was very emotional seeing the film of the bombing. But beware of the Hawaiian flying cockroach! They are the scariest thing I have ever seen. We went on the bowfin and the Missouri and sailed past the Arizona memorial since it was under renovation. We also saw king kamehameha and ioloni palace and punchbowl cemetery. Our tour guide kanoi was good. I lastly the day we got on the ship, the port was clean and nice and the staff was nice. We got on the ship really quickly. Our time in Honolulu was really nice and everyone should go there. There is something for everyone
