Naples itself was awful. I had booked a morning transport to Pompeii through the cruise for a very reasonable price, but they changed it to an afternoon excursion a day before we were going, so I cancelled that because I picked a morning excursion months ago for a reason. The port and surrounding area is very ugly. Also, taxi drivers swarmed the entry to the port and harassed us for fares when we got off the ship. We had to say no to about 25 aggressive drivers before we found the taxi stand the next street over who would just take us to the train station as we wanted. The train to Pompeii was very straightforward, if not super dirty and ugly (with tons of graffitti). Pompeii itself was wonderful, one of the highlights of the trip. We got a great tour from a local guide who approached us in line and only charged us 15 Eu pp (no charge for our son, who is 7). I was really disappointed that our excursion got changed, but we were able to see what we wanted to see and had to figure out how to get there on our own.

Went on an excursion which was kind of hurried. We went to Positano in the Amalfi Coast and then visited the ruins of Pompeii (15 euros entrance ticket). Our guide took us on abbreviated trip of Pompeii which was 2 hours long. We didn't get to see all of Pompeii.

I loved that you can just walk off the ship & straight into the city at this port. It was nice to dock & sail away at this port while being able to watch the hussle & bussle of Naples. Nothing prepared me for the culture shock that hit me when we got off the ship. There is hundreds of taxi men coming over offering to bring you wherever you want to go & the traffic is really loud & fast. I found it quiet intimidating while trying to get out of the port with my kids but it’s all part of the experience I guess. We walked around the city for a few hours & had the most amazing pizza from a side street restaurant

Booked a last minute excursion here. Went to Pompei. Great trip and our tour guide was wonderful “ thank you, Fabio”. Took about 8 hours. Would definitely recommend

We opted to take the boat to Capri. A really incredible and beautiful city. I recommend this highly.

went by hydrofoil to Capri/Anacapri- unstructured tour, we paid extra for ski lift ride (14 euros round trip- great scenic views). place as crowded, guide not equipped with mike- we did have a lovely luncheon at a local restaurant, with wine and sparkling water.. walk around with or w/o guide in Capri before taking furnicular down to go back on hydrofoil (this boat trip is 1 hr each way) packed boats with many other visitors
