We arrived in Barcelona a few days before our cruise. Very happy we bought our tickets to Sagrada Familia in advance and had no wait, it’s stunning! We also pre purchased the Barcelona Pass, which gave us the Hop on hop off bus for a day, bus and metro for two days as well as free admission to a few places like the FC Barcelona arena. We were there on a game day so only got to view the museum and see the stadium (before the game) but was really cool to see. So many great options for food, I admit my favorite was Cheese’s Art a little fondue place. Melted cheese in a bread bowl with jamon and a pitcher of sangria ! Made our way up to Tibidabo, the views from the Ferris wheel are breathtaking. Made our way to Park Guell, the magic fountains and more. The pass included a 90 minute boat tour, which was a nice break in the feet and a great way to see the waterfront. For great cocktails we went to Tandem a few times and it’s on the list to go back to! Enjoyed wandering Las Ramblas and hitting up Chok for amazing donuts! City was clean, people friendly, felt very safe. Of course we were observant and have heard the stories of pickpockets, but we had a great time. Can not wait to go back!

After several days of being on the go at every port we decided on the hop on hop off bus to take advantage of getting to the Sagrada Familia and other sites around town. It was nice to just sit and enjoy the scenery in the open air of the bus.

We stayed at the H10 Metropolitan hotel pre-cruise and the Olivia Balmes hotel post-cruise. Both hotels were phenomenal! The service at both hotels was unmatched and exceptionally clean! The H10 Metropolitan hotel was a little more centrally located for us. We also did the Hop-on, Hop-off bus tour of Barcelona. Great value and a lot of fun!

We were in Barcelona for three days before our cruise. It was amazing. We did the hop on hop off bus tour our second day there and enjoyed the East and West route. The third day we went to Sagrada Familia in the morning-beautiful. La Boqueria was a large market with lots of fresh goodies. There was delicious food and sangria all over. I’d love to go back!

Amazing city.. the culture all around. Those Italian boots! 😍we had two days before our cruise and the weather was cool but not unpleasant. The food is much nicer just out of the tourist streets. Ask the locals where they dine and tag along.

Visited the Sagrada Familia, the Picasso Museum, found paella, and strolled down Las Ramlas. The metro is easy to navigate.

We walked round and saw some nice sights, went to Las Rambles had a wander round saw the cable cars, be careful especially if you have ruck sacks make sure you put them on your front as we nearly got robbed by 2 women until a Spanish man started shouting at them as 1 had a hand in my friends bag.
