In Barcelona we took an excursion to the Sagrada Familia and a drive around Gaudi's other buildings. This was a good way to see the city, with an informative guide and not too many crowds. After this we independently walked down la Rambla which was nice, and shuttle buses (free for us as we'd had an excursion but otherwise would've been expensive) took us back to the ship.

Nice cruise terminal with easy transportation. We stayed a few days to explore. La Sagrada Familia is an emotional experience (get tickets!) even after seeing other spectacular cathedrals throughout Europe!

The Port was nice, locals were friendly. There was a lot to see and do in Barcelona. Only downside was the city seemed very dirty when we visited. Many, many cigarette butts littering the streets.

This was out Embarkation port no ship excursions here, but plenty to do and see, safety and crime may be a bit more of an issue compared with the USA or Australia. The food is fantastic in this city. Definitely an old world city with things you won't experience in the USA or Australia. Absolutely no issues if you can only speak English here.
