The Notre Dame de La Guarde and Palais Longchamps. We took the bus and subway to both these. They were very nice. But beware of pick pockets. Near the Vieux Port they had street venders with some nice things such as soap, linens, jewelry, etc.

The small village tour had more than expected. Lunch was a superb taste of local food.

We toured in the morning along the coast and through the hilly part of the city. It is a very nice setting.

The Mediterranean Sea was dirty with locked toilets. Not so much to see. Everything was closed on the day we were there.

Maybe it was the weather (rainy & gloomy day), but we were not impressed with Marseille .... we thought the city to be somewhat dirty, crowded, with uninspiring architecture. Maybe we just selected the wrong tour!

Not worth getting a ship tour package. They have the same tours available at a reliable kiosk right off the ship for less money.
