I did not do an excursion. Cannes film festival was still on, the port was not as crowded as I thought it would be. I throughly enjoyed exploring this port on my own.

You will have enough time to walk around Cannes after the half day excursion to Nice. Both places are part of the beautiful French Riviera. Henri Matisse moved to Nice in 1917 till he passed away in 1954. There was a reason why he loved Nice so much and he painted quite a lot of Nice's beach/water.

No excursion here. We were in port during the yearly Cannes Film Festival and the town was crowded. Took in the Farmers' Market and walked the alley-way just a couple of blocks off the main port road. Here we had a lunch of crepes and found a couple of chocolate shops - both important on my 19 year old granddaughter's bucket list.

We didn't have anything planned at this port and were still trying to adjust to the time change. We took the little train which begins at the exit of the port. It was only 10 euro ppl and lasted about an hour and 30 min. It took you along the coast and into the. Town with only one stop for you to get off for about 10 min and see the church at the top. It was worth it. Do note that the tender service was horrible with NCL. It took us 3 hours just to get off the ship. Many people were upset. So our time onshore was limited.

We did not venture further than Cannes itself. It's ok. Mostly a fancy city surrounding a small old French town. We went to the beach at the end of the pier and although small, it was very refreshing and clean.
