During the excursion, we were driven around to the different areas of Stockholm seeing many of the 54 bridges that connect the 14 islands that make up the center area of Stockholm. We saw the Stockholm Palace and the 13th century Gamla Stan or Old Town. We saw many beautiful buildings, government offices, bridges and homes. We had a nice time.

Unfortunately we weren't docked in town so it was impossible to walk to town and we were charged $8 per person per trip for a shuttle town. If we could have bought a citybus ticket we would have but we didn't have any change in the currency.

the ship docks a long way from Stockholm and there isn't enough time to get there and do much. Do not take the hop on from the port. Very slow and uncomfortable.

Historic Stockholm and Sigtuna. I wouldn’t recommend this tour in that there was just not enough time to see the Vasa Museum. We had about 1 1/2 hours there and needed more time. We were not really impressed with Sigtuna and could of done without it. We ended up spending another day at the Vasa Museum after we departed the ship. We had three days in Stockholm after the cruise to get in more sightseeing. We really enjoyed the 2 hr 15 min under the bridges canal tour. Enjoyed this city very much.

We did the Vasa Museum which was excellent. That was preceded by the Viking Museum which was quite small and probably not worth doing except for the 10 minute ride thru scenes of an old Viking village and life - that was very good. We broke from our excursion to do the ABBA museum (it’s a 5 minute walk from Vasa). Well worth it.
