Incredible. Right next to port. Viking Experience Museum was terrific. Lots of museums and if you go to one, others are discounted. Great vibrant beautiful town.

Took the afternoon tour with the ship. Was worthwhile. Beautiful city with some nice houses to see. The walk around the little down town area was possible to do in about an hour and a bit on foot if you don’t stop in too many shops. Generally would say it was worth the stop.

Went on a personally arranged cruise to Lysefjord with the hope of seeing Pulpit Rock from the water since we are not at port long enough to hike it. Unfortunately, it was foggy and we couldn't see much. What we could see isn't anything like the pictures though but it is hard to say. Stavanger has a nice little neighbourhood of white houses which was interesting. There is a church and a square outside with a nice little market good to pick up souvenirs.
