A gorgeous setting, pulling into port is worth getting up early to watch. Visited St. John's Co-Cathedral (gorgeous) but get there early to avoid long lines and lots and lots of people inside the church. Take the steps to the balcony to get a great view of the entire cathedral.

Beautiful day in Valletta! Walked around port area of Valletta, took lift up to upper Barrakka Gardens 1eu pp. Lots of sights and historical landmarks. Taxi is very expensive, took taxi to Mdina 20eu, and 25eu to return to port. Drivers wanted 35eu! No public buses running today, it’s Sunday😩 Other option was hop on/off tour bus. Mdina is a must see, very small city. We walked and had lunch at Fontanella, good food and low prices! We didn’t try, but the Cakes look like the specialty everybody was having cakes and cappuccino! The Mdina Experience is a 6eu short historical movie about the town. Interesting, but don’t fret if you missed it.

We took a morning excursion around Valetta. A very informative courier and excellent driver. An old island that appears to just beginning to come into this century.

Great shopping and tourist attractions. The fortresses around the entrance to the harbor were fantastic! And the cannon shot at noon was awesome! No excursions.
