Theres nothing to do in Salerno. Take the 16 Euro ferry boat over to Amalfi. Well worth it. I attached the photo below

I took Latin in high school and I was very excited to visit Pompeii. Very cool to see all the ruins I had learned about as well as the view of Mt. Vesuvius itself!

Consider going to Capri. Wake up early to see the Amalfi Coast from the ship.

This was the most relaxing of our excursions. We visited a quaint town and then toured by boat the blue grotto. Our guide was so much fun. The water amazing. Drinking, dancing, swimming. Excellent refrain from day after day of sightseeing.

Excursion: Celebrity Priority Access: Capri, Sorrento, & Pompeii. Each of these destinations was fascinating and beautiful in its own way! Immediately upon going ashore we boarded a ferry for a rather lengthy but scenic ride to the island of Capri, then boarded a different ferry for the transfer from Capri to Sorrento. (Because there are so many different modes of transportation involved in this tour, you cannot leave any person items behind as you will not return to the same ferry, etc.) This was a complicated tour to organize and time because there were so many components and methods of transportation involved, but our guide was cool and calm and carried it off without a single glitch! Lunch was provided as a part of this tour and was absolutely delicious, well-organized, and so much fun! Pompeii was incredibly hot, but very interesting. This was a great day!

Niice architecture. Very expensive shopping area! Nice cafes for lunch or snack. great coffee. Loved excursion to Pompei, highly recommend it.
