Disappointing - Acropolis was a test of resilience and patience - ridiculously crowded with pick pockets working everywhere - would not bother again.

I didn’t know if I should book a tour here or not... decided to just get a taxi into town and it was the best decision ever!!!! We meet our driver Lisa. (Still FB friends) we paid her $100 I think for two of us to be our personal guide to everything! Took us to the Parthenon first because of the lines. She waited till we were done two hours later. Drove us in AC around to shop, see the Olympic stadium, changing of the guards, to lunch and more! It was great! Highly recommend getting a taxi guide. We tipped her as well but it was so worth it!

The ruins are worth seeing but the city of Athens has nothing to offer.

We were pretty tired when we arrived and didn't have the energy to do as much as we would have liked but will visit again.

Only flew into Athens from Crete, part of the cruise package. But have enjoyed Athens on previous occasions.

half day excursion again here. The port was a surprisingly pleasant place and Athens open, green and full of traffic . You gotta see all the ruins, scaffolding, tower cranes and all. Our tour guide was a gem and made the trip most enjoyable. Go to the old town its lovely .

Total rip off! Went on Acropolis excursion and tour of city - after leaving Acropolis literally drove around the block and got dropped off to walk around town. That was suppose to be a panoramic tour of the city!
