in case some one goes back to Piraeus and wants to stay at Piraeus and does not want to go at Athens,it s better to go at Piraiki coast (the area you see arriving at Piraeus) by taking the bus 904 from Chatzikiriakou avenue..or just take a taxi to go there (3,5 euro ) or go to Mikrolimano

You definitely cannot walk from the port of Piraeus to Athens. We decided to take one of those hop on hop off buses, specifically the blue bus of Sights of Athens, since the price is better. We reached the Acropolis in no time, we did much of hopping on and off and still had plenty of time to return

Big city, it's hard to see lot of things. Too much people around and in Acropole... hard to walk around. Not what I expect and I will probably not come back.

Did hop on hop off bus to The Acropolis which is stunning! Should have got off earlier to do Athens your as we had to be back on board mid afternoon and ran out of time !

Much of Athens is NOT attractive or safe. I would not want to wander and certainly not get lost. I wouldn't have missed the history, but stick with an excursion.

We visited Corinth since we had already visited the Pantheon on a previous cruise. We had a very pleasant boat ride through the Corinth canal.
