We love Athens and all the incredible historical places that one can see when visiting Athens! We booked a semi-private all-day Athens tour with PK Travels. Very good and informative tour. Just wish we had more time to "soak in" all the Athens experiences.

Very historical with a great guide on the excursion, which included the museum and Greek seafood lunch.

We did the hop on hop off again, and it was perfect. We were there on a Sunday, so the traffic wasn't horrible, so the hop on hop off went pretty fast. We got to see so much that day and had a wonderful meal.

It was lovely to see Athens, it was very hot & crowned with tourists, we did the hop on hop off bus with the tickets provided by the ship for a reasonable fee

The acropolis is very easy to get to on your own. No need for an excursion to have an amazing experience.

No excursion taken. Since my wife was in a wheelchair, we were not planning to climb the hill to the Acropolis. However, the information desk informed us that there was a lift available near another entrance. After a difficult climb over a rough street to the entrance and waiting in a long line to purchase tickets to the site, we were informed that the lift was not operational, so we passed on visiting a historical site which my wife, a retired history teacher, would have really enjoyed. Traffic and the distance to the Acropolis leave little time for anything else around the city. There was a customs-type station upon return to the port which was unlike anything we've experienced on any other cruise. It was poorly run and resulted in spending well over an hour in a bizarre, probably totally unnecessary, uniquely Greek process.

Do not trust cab drivers who offer to take you on tours. Ours robbed us.

The taxi drivers at the port can be hired for the day to take you to all the ruins. The city is kind of dirty, and you can see everything by lunch time. All the ruins are practically next to each other

We did our own excursion with a taxi to the Parthenon, changing of the guards at the Prime Ministers Palace and Olympic stadium from the previous Olympics 2004 and other sights for a couple of hours before we set sail at 8:00pm

Didn't do NCL excursion but did arrive 2 days early to ease the jetlag. However, we should have stayed at hotel in Athens instead of near airport. Airport hotels are 30 - 45 minutes away.
