City is dirty, noisy, crowded, and the tour of Acropolis was rushed with a sketchy guide. Too little time in port. Don't recommend driving in Athens. Athens and surrpunding area needs days, but if you have to see the Acropolis.....

Of course the ruins are a must but a very crowded city and the pace is frantic.

Acropolis, Parthenon. Pay attention on the bus you may see the changing of the guard.

I was somewhat suprised at the waste, litter and dumping tolerated by the government--especially on thorough fares untilized som importantly in Greece/Athens' tourist industry. It is difficult to see the pride of the 'ancient wonders' when you are viewing them through piles of trash and refuse.

There was a strike and therefore the traffic was horrendous and we couldn’t visit/go into any of the tourist sites as they were closed. Very disappointing and this happens regularly apparently.
