Went to the Acropolis & Parthenon, what an amazing site, however, our tour guide lost us, never kept track of us, went too fast, lost several people, could not hear his commentary so we did not learn ONE thing. Lost us, we had to spend more money to take a cab back to the ship.

Not happy with this one as we were to do the excursion and hard rock and it got canceled due to not enough people so they picked another one for us and we want to go and we filled out paper and turned in to desk but they must have lost it and we did not get to even see Athens, spent 10 hours in airport and was terrible way to end trip so make sure to follow up with tickets ahead of time as to not get stuck.

Acropolis and all of ancient Greece in the Placa area. Take a 5 euro tourist tram around this area. Wander through the winding narrow paths in the residential areas of the Placa. That was a highlight! Don't bother with downtown modern Athens. No one liked that.

Acropolis and shopping areas was a long walk to the public transportation if not taking a tour. We were told 20 minutes but you don't really know where exactly you are going and it took 45 minutes to find but only 35 minutes with brisk walking to get back.

Of course, visit the acropolis and all in that area. Was a bit disappoined in the Platka area, but it was very hot the day we were there. Probably wouldn't choose to go back to Athens, but glad we went once.
