An hour and a half to Florence and about 45 minutes to Pisa. We chose to just walk around Liverno. Not really anything to see or do. People in the town are overall unfriendly to the tourists. Guess we should have sat in a car for hours to take a tour of Pisa (to see a tower that is leaning?) or Florence (3 hours round trip?).

Terrific port, Florence was amazing. Pisa I did not appreciate much. Too many aggressive vendors.

Tour of Luca was unremarkable, probably because it was a Sunday.

We have visited this area before, but fell in love with it again on a ship-sponsored tour.

If you have been in Florence and Pisa, Lucca is a great choice

Not much to do at this port, very small only intended to hold ship while you explore Florence and surrounding areas. Florence is beautiful as well as the surrounding areas in Tuscany.
