Just a place to exit the ship and take the train to Rome where we spent 3 nights in a B&B.

Did Some of the key tourist things, but biggest highlight was an inpromptu visit to an open air restaurant for what turned into a leisurely and wonderful expertise, aided by great service and a fabulous operatic busker!

We did some shopping. We were there two years ago and had a private tour.

It’s a pretty little cruise port. Wife and I stayed a couple of days before our cruise. We revisited some of our favorite spots. Found a new favorite restaurant across from the beach (had dinner there 2 nights).

Kinda dirty, but you have to see the history.

We didn't tour from the ship, just disembarked. We stayed in Civitavecchia for 2 nights before flying home.

Obviously Rome is a long ways away, so excursions are pricey to get there, but Thats not the Cruise lines fault.

I love Rome, but it poured down rain the day we were there. We booked the hop on hop off and it was not the best experience.
