I loved Rome. Too much to see at this stop. Take your own excursion and see it yourself. Felt very rushed. Did not like the tour lady on the bus. Very RUDE. Her name was RITA! Also the tour excursions were way too much money! Also eat lunch on your own. The resureant had a horrible lunch.

Rome is an hour train ride from this city-train is a long walk uphill, so much wasted time. Civitavecchia itself is old and tired looking, not someplace I would return to.

The guide was good but she insisted we go to the last point with her instead of having a coffee in a more decent place

It was great to see Rome. I wish I could have had more time. At the Vatican but, realize the crowd size does not allow it.

Spent two nights at Hotel Traiano before departure, and experienced a wonderful sea side town with with wonderful restaurants.

I have friends in Rome, so that was an added benefit, but Rome is just one big, fabulous living museum. It is one of my favorite cities and one day is not enough for a first time visitor to see everything.
