Cabin Type: Suite
Traveled As: Couple

This cruise was not restful, lots of travel just to get to the ports of call-because Rome is inland, you need to take a train-which is an hour long trip; same for Nice and Cannes. The destination trips are too long-they range from 8hrs to 10hrs long-add more 4-5 hour long ones into the choices.

The suites on this ship are beautifully maintained-clean, comfortable furniture-the layout of the cabin affords you alot of room to relax in.

Everything is a good long train ride from this port-train not for the disabled-at least 70 steps to get to train platform. The port is a very cute fishing village, easy to stay there and just swim for the day!
Don't Miss: Th tender ride back to the ship, if it is windy-watch out!!

Great views from above in "upper" Naples; lively action in Spanish town-street bazaars, sidewalk shopping-FABULOUS.
Don't Miss: Take the cable car up the mountain to upper Naples and get some cameo earrings!

Take a ride up Pellegrino Mountain, see the shrine, come down the other side.
Don't Miss: Mondello-great beach town, so relaxed-I would stay there and just chill out!

Rome is an hour train ride from this city-train is a long walk uphill, so much wasted time. Civitavecchia itself is old and tired looking, not someplace I would return to.

Pros: The cabin was gorgeous, the balcony was so roomy.

Cons: Needing to travel to viewing locations once you reach ports.
