Only a tour of the island could impress anyone. Taking the tram to the town on top was not worth the effort.

What fun! We did not book an excursion but rode the gondola up the hill instead of riding the donkeys up the stairs and walked around the wonderful quaint shops; bought way more than we should have; ate some greek yogurt; and walked down the stairs to the dock with the donkeys and other walkers. What fun.

Don't bother going to the archaeological sites. Wall through Fira and hop on a bus to the beach.

Go off season otherwise stay on the ship. And NEVER RIDE DONKEYS UP THE HILL. Do you see food and water for them? No! Cruel and inhumane treatment. SHOULD BE BANNED.
