Very cool city. We wandered on our own and enjoyed the food and wine in the city square. We did the hike which you can do for $3 (euros) - it's a must as the view is spectacular! Easy to access the entrance from the main square.

We fell in love with Montenegro. We did a ship’s excursion that gave us a walking tout of Kotor, but then we did the drive over the mountains enduring several hairpin turns to its beautiful Riviera-like coast. Fabulous lunch on the seaside and shopping.

We had been to this port before so only got off to visit the supermarket. But the town is lovely and quaint - cobbled streets with plenty of local shops and restaurants. Don't forget to stop by at the fruit stalls on the way back to the shop.

INCREDIBLE was the word for this beautiful port. Mountains everywhere. Fjords actually. We did a tour of the city and then walked the fort. It was 1700 steps to the top of the cliff where the views were amazing, but we chose not to go all the way up.

The place is amazing I only wish I took a different tour. This is a tender port. The tour offered by Princess Kotor, St. Tryphon Cathedral, Njegusi & Cetinje was not worth the time and effort. We first had to wait 30 minutes for 7 people that were late, then we spend most of time in the bus and hardly any time outside bus to see any attractions. We were for 20 minutes in a museum and 20 minutes in a local village restaurant to sample cheese, ham and wine and 2 short photo stops. The rest of 3-4 hours were on the bus. The road on the mountains was very narrow so the bus had to wait or back up numerous times this was time consuming. We did not see all excursions listed on the itinerary for this tour due to delays in traffic. I suggest on this port you just visit the Medieval village which is next to port or do the other tour offered by Princess Perast & Boka Bay which is a boat tour that your take nearby. Avoid the mountain area if driving, but walking up the mountain you will get amazing views. When the ship enters and leaves the port its very close to landscape so you get very amazing views of scenery, worth visiting.

Kotor is beautiful and I recommend being above-deck while the ship enters and leaves the port; the fjords are gorgeous. We took the excursion to Our Lady of the Rock which was okay; I would recommend spending most of your time in the Old Town of Kotor which is walking distance from the port.
