Loved this port and the tour of the old city in the walls. Beautiful! Needed more time to shop in each port on the tours.

NCL's Land & Sea Tour! We had a short time in port, this was the perfect tour. A Beautiful 100 year old boat picked us up at the pier and took us to Old Town, 1 hour guided tour plus 2 hours to explore on our own. We climbed the walls & walked the walls which encircle the old city. Very Cool!!!

The walled in city was BREATHTAKING. I knew a little about it, but once we went through the walled in cities door, your jaw would drop. We walked around, climbed up on to the top of the walls (it's not a climb for the weak at heart, let me tell you, and having had a knee replacement, i was not happy, but wanted to see the view and glad i did). We enjoyed one of the outdoor cafe's then went back outside of the Walled in city and there's like a piazza with some restaurants, etc...so we hung out there for a while, since the weather was so nice, and enjoyed a lovely bottle of location wine, and some tapas. Took in the view, the sights, the sounds....lovely lovely city. We didn't do any excursions.

Is an enchanted place my advice would be get off the boat as yes you can Grab a taxi from the dock they are 13 euros it will drop you at the gates just inside on the left you will find the ticket booths to walk the walls. payment can be made by card, the gates don't open till 8 you need to get a ticket before going up onto the wall . The advantage to getting up on the wall early is that it is cooler temperatures it can get very warm when walking the wall and there is little shade so the earlier you can do this the better and the cooler it will be. You can explore whilst walking the streets below in the hotter part of the day.

Absolutely amazing old town, and very easy to get to with public transport from the port. (When we were there it turned out the busses were actually free in the evening, so it might be worth checking that out when you make a stop here)

The port is fantastic, don't take the buses offered by the cruise, they are too expensive. You can walk a few yards and take the local bus for just about 5 buck for two.
