Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island) Port Reviews

I really didn't expect much from this port as I knew going in that it was owned and built by RC. I was pleasantly surprised! The accomodations were wonderful, from beach side chair rentals, hammocks in the shade, old wooden row boats turned into lounge couches, to private cabanas ($$$). It was well spreadout with 3 or 4 different beach areas. The food was great (bbq style with potato salad, coleslaw, mac n cheese). If you purchase the drink package all of your drinks at this port is included which helps save on addl spending. I loved the flea market, my husband hated it. I do well with bargaining and high pressure sales so it was right up my alley and I found some wonderful gifts for the family. If you do not like this atmosphere I would stay clear of this area. There was an enclosed marketplace that had similar items for sale but they were not pressuring you to buy anything there, nor were they willing to bargain on the sales price. I went back and forth on 4 or 5 stars on this review because I loved the beaches, food, drinks, and flea market, but the activities/excursions were exorbitantly priced. It was ridiculous how much they were charging for 30 second roller coaster ride, or 30 second zip line. Even the adult beach break was overpriced.

We love Labadee! We've been there quite a few times, and it's one of our favorite stops. The zip line is incredible, and the dragon coaster is a blast. The whole experience is very relaxing!

We did not do an excursion. We were however very dissatisfied with our visit. From the moment we got to the port even though it was a royal Caribbean island, we had nothing but begging locals. I felt quite uncomfortable with people trying to put things on me, yelling out to me, and making me want to leave. No other island that I visited on this trip did I have this experience. Very sad it was your island and we had to deal with this. Will never return.

Loved the beach here, we rented floating mats and it was beautiful. Did the zip line and would do it again. Great staff teaches even rookies like how to do it. So fun! Husbands rented jet skis and totally enjoyed that also. Would go back.

We did the zip line. Had a blast. We were just going to walk around and grab some lunch but changed our mind after we watched others do it. We would definitely recommend it!!! Next time I will book ahead.

It was not a long walk from the pier to the port. Barefoot beach had a nice beach and the lunch they served was good. Did not do an excursion, just enjoyed the beach.

Beautiful island. We did the all day pass for the mountain coaster and rode several times. Each time I was able to go a little faster and know exactly where to look and enjoy the views. We also did the zip line that was unbelievable. I wish they offered that in an all day pass to go several times. It rained pretty heavy for a couple hours, but still enjoyed the time there.
