A: The person who said Labadee isn't in Haiti is incorrect, it is, in fact, in Haiti. Just not in the area of the unrest. RC hasn't announced where the cruises will be redirected to or if it will be another sea day. The last time Haiti had issues they... just gave us another sea day.See More

A: Per Royal Caribbean Blog.com, they have removed Labadee through the March 14th sailings thus far and have replaced that day with either a sea day, another port, or Cococay. I sail the last week in April and have no word yet of changes. So if you ar... en't sailing until August.. who knows!See More

Answered by cwill9371 on March 20, 2024

A: I believe it depends on what ports can accommodate on the particular day. Otherwise, it will be an additional sea day.

Answered by tri40sh on March 18, 2024

A: They made an announcement that they suspended trips to Labadee

A: I have no idea where you were able to see this. You cannot even see outside of the cruise port it’s so gated off from actual Haiti.

Answered by Need2CruiseSoon on March 15, 2024

A: Edit: I believe I read in one of my cruise groups on Facebook that they did not stop at labadie so I guess they are not stopping there right now

Answered by enjoyurdaysmile on March 14, 2024

A: We couldn't see any streets or local areas, unless you did an excursion that you didn't mention. You walk off the ship onto the private island. There is a separate section where locals sell things but you don't have to go in there. My understanding... is that Royal is skipping this stop for now.See More

A: Yes. There are lockers in the building to the right at the end of the pier where you check in for jet ski excursions. I’m guessing a snorkeling excursion will start at the same building.

Answered by TheVegasSphere on January 22, 2024

A: Labadee is a beach day stop. You can not leave the port area for any exploration.

Answered by TXatsea on December 29, 2023

A: Haiti is not a tourist friendly island currently. Labadee is owned by RC fenced off and guarded to keep everyone safe. The “vetted vendor” area is super aggressive and has guards too. Everything on the island is free as far as beaches, chairs, umbrel... las, food, drinks (with drink package) zip line and such are extra. First beach on left is super rocky. Go in further or go to the beaches on the right side for much easier on the feet.See More

Answered by Campomarino on December 29, 2023

A: Labadee is a private destination in Haiti, leased by Royal Caribbean. There is no access to the main island of Haiti from Labadee for cruise ship guests. When I was there in 2019, I heard a story from a worker that he had to be boated in from where h... e lives to be able to work at Labadee. I usually treat this port stop as a free beach day. You do not have to book anything to enjoy this port.See More

Answered by bethwolf on January 6, 2024

A: Labadee is a private island and you are unable to actually leave that port by taxi or anything. It's closed off to the other parts of Haiti. Any and everything you need is right on that island. Excursions, shopping, food, beach, etc.

Answered by Nee on December 28, 2023

A: You really wanna leave the port in Haiti? We are advised not to. Just sayin’.

Answered by subman738 on September 20, 2023

A: It is not a tender port as all other islands are for cruise lines. This is different. Have you taken your scooter off ships in the past? There are paths, to drive the scooter..I would call Royal to make sure.

Answered by enjoyurdaysmile on September 13, 2023

A: It is not an island at all. It is a peninsula on the north coast of Haiti, near Cap Hatien on a map. There is a super long pier and roads you can drive on. There is also a shuttle train that can drop you off at the various beaches.

A: Hop on the free tram and head to the furthest beach area. It's not so quiet that it's boring for the kids, but not so crowded and "party-ish" so you can relax! Plenty of free beach loungers with umbrellas, a bar nearby for drinks (they make mocktails... too), and you still get to enjoy the delicious bbq lunch by RC included!! 😁See More
