I have no idea where you were able to see this. You cannot even see outside of the cruise port it’s so gated off from actual Haiti.

Edit: I believe I read in one of my cruise groups on Facebook that they did not stop at labadie so I guess they are not stopping there right now

We couldn't see any streets or local areas, unless you did an excursion that you didn't mention. You walk off the ship onto the private island. There is a separate section where locals sell things but you don't have to go in there. My understanding is that Royal is skipping this stop for now.

I noticed it when when we were there in 2017. By the buffet area, if you looked carefully, you could see a chain-link fence built a foot or two beyond the edge of the forest that surrounds that area. A few kids, maybe 3 years old, to about 12, just clinging to the fence and watching the tourists eating. Not sure if RCL does anything like donate leftover food or offer employment the the families or something, but it'd feel a lot less gross and gluttenous if passengers knew it was acknowledged and that the multi-billion-dollar corporation isn't just shooing them away like vermin.

considering RCL takes care of this island from security to food now, it makes me wonder how long ago you travel there? No, you cannot see that. As many times as I have been here I have NEVER seen that. Has anyone else?

When we went this past January I ventured behind the food pavilion area. There were shrubs and bushes and behind them there was a wall about eight foot tall; painted white. There were cameras on top of the wall. Could not see what was on the other side.

I have never seen anything like that. We were just there on our January 27 sailing.
