Haiti is not a tourist friendly island currently. Labadee is owned by RC fenced off and guarded to keep everyone safe. The “vetted vendor” area is super aggressive and has guards too. Everything on the island is free as far as beaches, chairs, umbrellas, food, drinks (with drink package) zip line and such are extra. First beach on left is super rocky. Go in further or go to the beaches on the right side for much easier on the feet.

Labadee is a beach day stop. You can not leave the port area for any exploration.

Labadee is a private destination in Haiti, leased by Royal Caribbean. There is no access to the main island of Haiti from Labadee for cruise ship guests. When I was there in 2019, I heard a story from a worker that he had to be boated in from where he lives to be able to work at Labadee. I usually treat this port stop as a free beach day. You do not have to book anything to enjoy this port.

Labadee is a private island and you are unable to actually leave that port by taxi or anything. It's closed off to the other parts of Haiti. Any and everything you need is right on that island. Excursions, shopping, food, beach, etc.

Haiti is unstable as far as security. They do not let you leave the secure private area owned by Royal Caribbean. It has two separate beach areas and they allow local vendors to sell their wares inside the secure area.
