This was a fabulous vacation and very relaxing. Next cruise is in May can not wait!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
I went to Fort Lauderdale a day early and came to the terminal from the hotel about 10:30 to 11:00 am. The terminal was just getting started and I walked through the lines to the counter provided my sail pass, passport and validated my credit card. I had my picture taken and walk onboard the ship within fifteen minutes of getting off the hotel shuttle.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food onboard Freedom of the Seas is great does not matter where you eat. The main dining rooms are nicely appointed and the wait staff is very attentive. Eating at Johnny Rockets, Windjammers or Sorrento’s the food is great and so is the staff.
Windjammer Marketplace
5 out of 5
The quality and variety of food at the Windjammer is an unexpected pleasure. The staff is friendly, energetic and engaged with their customers. Eating at Windjammer on FOS is a great experience.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The pools are spacious and well laid out. The staff is attentive and I liked the adult only pool area.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The shows onboard FOS are great you will be entertained! The Promande dances are great too.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
These folks care about your cruise and it shows. I did not meet a single member that did not have a smile and time to talk with you. The mechanical repair staff would talk in the passageway asking if there was anything you needed as quick as your cabin attendant, what a great crew.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The crew of FOS works very hard to keep the ship clean and it shows.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
This cabin is great for two people. Breakfast on the balcony has to be the best part. I also liked being able to get away to the balcony on sea days. I did love coffee on the balcony anytime of day.
I used the Luggage Valet program and I walked off the ship, thru customs and on to the airport. I placed my luggage outside my cabin door Saturday night and picked up my luggage at my final destination on Sunday. This is the best thing Royal Caribbean has done in a while.
I was told the best way to overcome the cruise coming to an end is to book your next cruise onboard before you leave so you have something to look forward to
