Jacks Shack for sure down the beach at the end at the left as you leave the cruise port shops.

Took a taxi to town and had a sobering look at hurricane damage. Worth doing.

Beach was not very good. One side of the pier was rocky with dangerous holes. The other side of the pier had a steep decline about ten feet out. It felt like stepping in quicksand getting out of the water. The shops were great though. We had fun but I wouldn't swim here.

Best beach is right next to the pier. If beach is what you want, don't take an excursion. Beach at Margaritaville is best and free.

Haven't been to a beach in slow long it was great to sit and do nothing. Too bad the ships are 100 feet in front of you.
