Had a lot of fun, met new friends and had a great time, with the exception of the few negative things I mentioned during my review.
Embarkation

Very Good
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The crew announced the Safety Briefing was at 3 pm. They DIDN'T START IT UNTIL ALMOST 4:30 pm because they were waiting for "a few people;" and then after keeping the majority of the passengers waiting for over an hour they announced that anyone that missed the briefing should meet in the library for a briefing. So what actions were taken against the people that didn't attend the Safety Briefing since "IT IS REQUIRED BY MARITIME LAW?" Were they kicked off the ship; fined? What You don't punish the masses for the few; you punish the offenders!
The dining rooms were nice, but the dinner "entertainment" was a joke. One of our waiters didn't use deodorant and his odor was offensive when he walked by during our meals. I expect more from a "Flag Ship crew!"
Most food was served warm, not hot; especially at the buffets. A big disappointment given the Horizon is the Carnival "Flag Ship."
Onboard Activities

The Havana pool deck was very nice.
Entertainment

The Sammy Davis Jr. style singer was fair, and the couple "Demage" was also only fair. The rest of the entertainment was good.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
When we first entered our cabin the bathroom smelled of mold. It STUNK? I found the steward and had him clean it and it was fine from then on, but out of all the cruises we've been on, this is the first time we've experienced anything like this; very disappointing on the Carnival "Flag Ship!"

Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Outstanding ship! I was impressed with how often the crew went around cleaning up the areas.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
With the exception of the bathroom issue the stateroom was very nice and comfortable. The balcony was nice and the Havana pool and bar were super. Very nice.
Ship tip
Book a Havana stateroom but be prepared to walk alot! It is a big ship.
Curacau is an outstanding port of call. This was our second visit. Plan to return one day soon. A lot to do, water and beaches are GREAT; people are friendly, and the food is good too.
