Review summary

As Diamond guest we sail 4-5 times a year on Carnival but have noticed a decline in amenities, they use to give chocolates on bed at night, they use to have live orchestra for main shows, and as of Jan.01,2018 they eliminated all the main TV stations like NBC, CBS, ABC, & FOX. There explanation to me was they changed satellite providers. We all know it's another cost saving feature for them. We do miss watching late night TV shows before bed. We really hope they bring back these amenities.

Always a great choice of foods, can even get spaghetti even though it's not on menu.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
no reason to be bored, always something to do.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All the shows were great. Adult comedy very funny.

Children's Programs

no children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room stewards work there butts off, Carnival has given them more cabins to maintain but the still do a great job.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
for an older ship, she is in great shape.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
These cabins need to be upgraded, our lampshades had holes in them plus the furniture is well worn. this ship was refurbished in 2017 they say, but I don't think they did the cabins.

Ship tip

We have been on this ship 8 times since 2011, she is still a great ship & easy to get around.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

4 out of 5
Did not do anything in Miami except take the bus home.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

3 out of 5
Not much to do, they set up a large buffet on island with burgers, and salads & other lunch items all free.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
This is our favorite port, Glad to see it's getting power back, still needs alot of work, they need our support.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
Glad to see the people finally getting power back, still over 45% without power, SHAME on USA for taking so long getting them & St. Thomas up and running, people there told us they don't need SBA loans, they need materials & personel to help rebuild. These are still americans & need our support.

Grand Turk Island

4 out of 5
Nice port, been there many times, not alot to do for seniors but enjoyable.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth.

We have seen a small decline in some service. Some friends have told us, that RCCL and NCL have cut back some too. That is too bad. 🤔
