It was rainy the day we were in Grand Turk so unfortunately we didn't spend much time on the beach. We booked an Island Tour at the port. Not too much else on the Island except for the fabulous beach! We walked 10 mins down from the port and went to Jacks Shack and had a local beer and conch fritters. Fun stop!

Unfortunately, it poured rain while we were in port here. Not the greatest way to be introduced to the island but can't change Mother Nature.

Visited the free beach and pool area. Some locals were trying to get you to pay for a chair and umbrella, but most (green ones) were free. Enjoyed swimming close to the ship, and seeing some fish. Went to Margaritaville and enjoyed a huge margarita and a dip in the pool.

Beach location, Jack Shack isn't close to the port, but you can get seafood there, or there's always a party at Margaritaville and food with a pool.

If you really want to see the island and it's culture, venture off. Don't stay near the ship or it'll feel like a private island.

It is beautiful here. Make sure that you go snorkeling and see the coral and fish.

We did the Island highlights and learned some history.. it explains why it looks semiabandoned.. the port is very nice and there is a beach off port. We went to another beach as part of tour so not as crowded as the one off the port.. there was another big cruiseline there. Beach has rocks and not as nice a Bimini.. if you have your own snorkle equipment can do it off port..
