The cruise was wonderful, with great and friendly service, wonderful food and great port stops. I would take this same exact cruise again in a heat beat! Remember you are on vacation, and enjoy every minute of it!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was a breeze! We did not pay for FTTF, and we did not need it. We got to the port at 11:30, and were on the ship by 12:00.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The main dining room was great! We did your time dining, and waited to be seated. We usually ate between 6:30 and 7pm. Only on formal night did I see a line when we left at 7:45pm. The food was great, the service was great. Really enjoyed the Prime Rib, cheesecake and of course the famous melting cake. Lots of seafood options. Buffet was typical carnival, and most selections were good. Loved the taco bowls and burritos at Blue Iguana and Guy's burgers were a favorite too.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The activities were plentiful, and we had a great time. Lots of music, dancing, trivia, pools, etc... We were never bored. In fact we skipped a few fun looking events to just lounge on deck and read a book a few times.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The cruise director, Peter, was great. He was funny and really personable, and would stop and talk to anyone! The theater performances were top notch for Carnival, and we enjoyed all three main shows, and the welcome aboard show too. Lots of live music around the ship that really got the crowd involved.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Great service all around the ship. Our room steward, Louie was wonderful! He always stopped to ask us how our day was, what we did, reminded us to wear sunscreen, etc... Our servers were all great. We especially liked Putu, and asked for his section several times. The only point I would mention is the fact that the bars seemed understaffed at some key times. We waited 5-7 minutes to have our drink orders taken at times because there were only 2 bartenders, and sometimes pushy guests who would cut in line if you will.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship is well laid out and easy to navigate. I love Conquest class ships. We rarely stood in lines, and found things easily. You constantly saw people cleaning things, washing windows, picking up empty drinks, the ship seemed in great ship for her age.
Cabin / Stateroom

Since it was just me and my wife, we opted to save money on an interior. I was afraid I would miss the balcony, but I was wrong. We were so busy during the day we did not linger in our room much. However, the ability for the inside room to be pitch black made for a great nap after a full port day, and we slept like rocks at night. There was plenty of storage for all of our stuff.
Ship tip
We loved finding some shade on deck 10, after our skin had enough sun. Also, the barbecue joint on the 10th floor was a hidden gem, and delicious. And definitely download the Hub app, it is easy on the go access to what is happening all over the ship.
We went to Breezes for an all inclusive resort day, and loved this place. The beach was wonderful, with crystal clear water, and soft sandy beaches. We snorkeled and saw a sea turtle and some fish. We used the free water equipment (kayaks and paddle boats). The drinks were plentiful and tasty, and several food options were all great. Try the conch fritters! The pool was great, and for most of the day, had a shady spot which was nice for a break from the hot sun! Would recommend to take the bus for $1.25. We got on and the locals were friendly, asked us about our day, and chatted with us. Even told us the best place to get off for the port and shopping. In straw market, the sellers were persistent, but when we said no thanks, they left us alone.
Always a favorite beach day. The sand was powder soft, and the water was again crystal clear and refreshing. We paid $16 for a clam shell for two, and enjoyed having some shade to relax in. The free lunch buffet was great, and there were plenty of options.
Visited the free beach and pool area. Some locals were trying to get you to pay for a chair and umbrella, but most (green ones) were free. Enjoyed swimming close to the ship, and seeing some fish. Went to Margaritaville and enjoyed a huge margarita and a dip in the pool.
We had a late flight, so we opted to stay on the ship a bit longer. The ship disembarkation was fine, but customs had a long line. Several carnival employees apologized, but it was clear that customs agents kept going on break, and only 3 worked at a time to check thousands of passengers. Boo Port Everglades. Oh well, after 45 minutes in line, we easily found a taxi to take us back to Ft. Laud airport for $12 fee.
