Review summary
For the price we got on this cruise, it was decent. Nothing to write home about though. The nighttime activities were limited especially if you're an active adult. After the nighttime show, there was only the comedy club (repetitive shows) or the nightclub. Karaoke was pretty much the same time as the show and dinner so we kept missing it. So, most of our hanging out time was spent in the smoke-filled casino. (Would LOVE a non-smoking casino!!). We went with a large group so we made our own fun so it was still a nice vacation. But Carnival needs to step it up with their activities, especially since they cater to a younger crowd. Food was better than in the past, but once we got back most people in our party had GI issues, so makes me wonder if there was food poisoning. Bonaire was the BEST! Absolutely wonderful diving/snorkeling! Grand Turk was a joke. Didn't see the island as Carnival had everything set up right at the dock. The cost to venture out wasn't worth so just we just hung out at the beach. Aruba was nice, but not what I had expected. I thought it was more tropical. All in all it was fine, but nothing extraordinary. Will try a different cruise line next time. A bit Carnivaled-out.

Ship tip
We did love the Serenity Deck when we wanted some peace and quiet. The hammocks were nice but needed more of them. It was a hidden gem in the middle of a loud/crowded day at sea. Skip the Seaday brunch. Food was actually better on the Lido buffet.
