Grand Turk Island was everything and more. We went Horseback Ride and Swim-what a great time! The beaches were unbelievably beautiful and the natives were always smiling, happy and very helpful. They made you feel welcomed.

We took the Home Sweet Home excursion. It was wonderful. We had the beach practically to ourselves. The house was lovely, and the staff were very friendly.

Because there were two ships in port we decided to take my family straight to Jack's Shack. We were approached by local trying to sell beach chains, umbrellas, hair braiding and other things but were not harrassed. A simple "no thank you" ended the conversation. Jack's was fun. Ten bucks for an umbrella and chairs was fair. The bartenders worked hard to make sure everyone was served but the wait staff was less than enthusiastic about serving. The island still has storm damage so don't expect a Caribbean paradise.

This was the best fun as you just dock off directly to port. Scuba swimming to see all the wildlife underneath. Saw so many fishes, eels, and artifacts underneath. A canon and an old anchor was there ! Kids loved it and barely got out of the water. Carfeful cause it is rocky. Buy scuba socks cause I stubbed my toes here. Green umbrellas are free to use. Margaritaville is also there with their own pool and bar area. Best way to catch up on email here.

Grand Turk was one of my faves! We booked the Off Road Atv excursion through Carnival and had a blast! It was my first time on an Atv and just as my other excursion experience, the instructors were friendly, patient, professional, and knowledgeable. We road through the small island and learned some history behind it.

I know life is what you make of it, but if you don't do an excursion here, there is not a lot to do. The best part of the island was watching everyone at Margaritaville have fun and the post card picture I took. Busiest spot on the island.
