Carnival Sunshine has given us a different outlook on cruising. We cruised before with another cruise line and the experience wasn't much to talk about. I absolutely loved Carnival & will be talking about this vacation for weeks to come. We got home and are planning a group cruise with Carnival for next summer. Thank you for the wonderful experience and look forward to cruising with Carnival again.

The Carnival Sunshine service & staff were phenomenal. Our room was clean and never needed for anything. Emma, Cruise Director, was lots of fun, always smiling, friendly and full of energy, she was a blast with the DJ's on board (DJ Gizzy & Jtorcher) and waiters were on point always making sure you didn't go thirsty.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was clean and Ni made herself available to all our needs. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was great with the exception of the shower curtain being too short and the floor and towels were soaking wet.
Ship tip
During ports of call, wait till the very last minute to get off the boat as it becomes very crowded and unorganized.
Puerto Rico was beautiful, however, our excursion was cancelled due to mechanical difficulties, although we were reimbursed, we had a hard time trying to figure out what to do.
We went parasailing which was amazing. We took a taxi to Coki beach that cost $36.00 for two round trip for the 10 minutes we spent on the very poorly maintained beach, there were no water activities (jet ski in non-working condition) and absolutely didn't feel safe. Would never do this port of call again.
Grand Turk Island was everything and more. We went Horseback Ride and Swim-what a great time! The beaches were unbelievably beautiful and the natives were always smiling, happy and very helpful. They made you feel welcomed.
Please don't count St. Thomas out! Next time, grab a cab or tour bus to Magen's Bay, voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Gentle surf, sugar sand, and a view in the cove to remember forever! On the way back (you can get a taxi or bus at the entry), ask them to stop at Udder Delights for some of the best ice cream ever!! It's on the way back to the ship. You can even get a "cocktail" milk shake there. For a different adventure, take a "Fast Cat" catamaran) snorkel tour. Fun ride and great underwater areas. I know you can tell I am a huge fan of the island, but agree that Coki Beach is AWFUL!! Just pick the right experiences and you will fall in love with it, too!!
